Hello and thanks in advance, it's time for me to replace my timing belt and I want to replace the water pump while I'm in there. I am ordering parts online and some specify with by-pass tube on housing, some with by-pass tube on Driver's End of Pump, some without by-pass tube. Does anyone know how to tell which my truck has without taking the whole timing cover off and everything? I have a 2002 3.4 v6 4x4 with a manual transmission.

Simple and easy.... Lean over and look at the thermostat housing on the water pump. Do you see a tube sticking out with a hose connected or not. Hose connected to housing = with bypass. No hose at all = no bypass.

Perfect! Looks like I do have the bypass tube. Thank you!
