Thanks. I was able to confirm that at 12volt too. Could you re-link these two items for me? I just want to make sure I got the right items. The existing links are no longer available.

    Problem here.

    2012 Double Cab
    Viper 5706v
    PK-ALL Bypass

The remote start works fine if the key is in the ignition. Will not work without key, it just cranks.
I have a hardwired tach on the black/white at the OBD.
Reprogrammed the tach and checked its connection and many times have programmed the PK-ALL....hold the button, connection 2 to insert, then connection 1. Put key in ignition and turn, the light blinks 10 times.

    Any ideas?

The blue light on the Viper's receiver blinks 10 times? Or the parking lights blink 10 times?

Did you set the Transmission mode to Automatic? It's on Manual Mode by default. It probably wouldn't make a difference with what you're experiencing, just throwing out an idea.

The LED light on the bypass blinks 10 times, indicating a successful program.

Hmm... it sounds like an issue with the bypass. I know you've probably double and triple checked everything to do with it, but I'd focus my time around making sure everything to do with the bypass is good. If you can remote start with the key in the ignition, but can't remote start once the key is taken out, then the system isn't finding the signal it needs from the bypass.

You might have this exact thing, but look at this. Specifically page 14 to make sure it's wired correctly, and page 17 to make sure it's programmed correctly. Beyond that, I'm not sure I can be much help. I didn't install a PK-ALL and my install was on a 2005. If you get it figured out, post on here what you did to make it work so can see.

Could it be I haven't programmed the Viper for Tach Mode? Even though I programmed the Tach?

There's a very good chance that is the issue. If you wired yours the same as I did in this thread (accounting for the changes between my 2005 and your 2012) you'll need to set it to the Engine Checking Mode to "Tachometer." In the pdf attached to the first post of this thread, go to page 22. You want Menu 3, Item 2, Option 4.

Does not appear to be the issue. Still will not start. Bypass is connected exactly like the one in that diagram. Maybe I need a new bypass.

It could be that you need a new bypass. If its wired and programmed 100% correct and still not working, I'd put money on that you just need a new one. I'm far from an expert, but if you can remote start with the key in the ignition then that leads me to believe the Viper is wired correctly. But once the key is removed from the ignition, then the bypass should kick in. And since its not doing that, it seems like it could need replacing.

I had trouble finding the lock and unlock wires too. I never did find the ones that I was supposed to connect to. I ended up looking at the wires that came off the lock/unlock switch and then used my DMM to test all the wires that were the same color coming from the door. It was time consuming, but that's what worked for me. A bonus for me though...the wires I tapped into were closer to the floor so it made soldering easier.

I'm tempted to run to best buy and pick up the bypass in which the key must be placed in it. Really wanted to seal this thing up today. I'll run over the wiring again:

    D2D into the viper.
    Black-Ground
    Pink-ignition one wire
    Green-key sense
    Blue-viper gwr
    Yellow-light green/red TX wire
    Purple/white-pink/blue rx wire

Sorry, but I know know if that's right or not because I've never installed a PK-ALL. Now I wish I had so I could help out more.

Go over to here and post how you installed the bypass. The guys over there on the12volt.com are really helpful and know their stuff. I used them several times when trying to figure all this stuff out on my install.

I had thought about suggesting getting a bypass that houses a key but I'm not a fan of those. I know you want it all finished today, but it's worth posting on the12volt.com first and waiting to see what they have to say.

Oh, one thing to try. Move the location of the ground for your bypass. Maybe its just a bad/insufficient ground. You might have a ground that is good enough, but its a quick and simple thing to try.

You'll have to read through a bunch of it, but this might be helpful to you as well.

Alright, I'll go to the 12volt. I was only going to get a 12$ bypass to make sure it was the PKALL

They're only $12? It might be worth it in that case, even as a test.

Just unplugged the D2D, I'm pretty sure it's the bypass. Because the truck started no problem with the key in the IGN, like the 12volt suggested

    Interesting....

Well hopefully you can just switch it out and then it'll work. Sucks that you have to do that in the first place though.

It turns out it was the Pkall. The 12$ bypassed worked the first try....now if only I could find the lock/unlock.
