Sweet. I ended up getting it. It's the smaller gauge of the wires in the door panel (green/black and purple) FYI. Goes 10V (on battery) to 0V on the blip.

Did all of you guys have to use the key sense and the rx/tx data wires? I installed a newer product from Fortin (Evo-key) for my bypass and it only has me connecting to the ignition and the 7 pin on the obd plug. Im unable to get it to start without an extra key in the cab.

Yes I had to use key sense and rx/tx. I just looked at the manual for the Evo-key and although I'm surprised that it says you don't need those connections, I have no reason not to believe it. Did you try redoing the programming?

That's how I was. No reason to not believe it. I looked at other car models with this Evo key and some use it. As well as other bypass products on this truck. I reset it and reprogrammed it several times. I'm at a loss.

Balls. Maybe look around on the12volt.com and see if any of the guys there know anything about that bypass. They are the pros.

    Holy Ziptie, Batman!!

There are so many wires to stick up somewhere! Next time I do an install, I will test fit where I am putting everything FIRST then trim the wires a little better. I left them long so I'd have more options on mounting location. Bad idea. I could have either cut and re-soldered every wire to shorten, or cram a basketball size wad of wires somewhere. I did the latter.

Also, looks like I may need to replace the rheostat. The dash lights don't dim with the headlights anymore. Looks to be common with people installing stereos.

There has to be wires also connecting the bypass to the viper brain. All else fails, see if best buy can sell you an PKALL, that worked like a champ for me and others...
One thing you should also consider, is once you get it all done, take your time securing the brain and wires in the dash. Every once in a while i heard it rattling around in there, which is annoying, and went back in and fixed that..
P.S. i have that exact same pic on my phone from my install (too lazy to upload it tho).

Box says 4706v, but I think that is just the remote for some reason.

And the bypass has the datalink to the viper brain, so it should be good on that one. And undid secure it pretty good, but I think I'll end up moving it. I'm adding a quad camera setup, so I'll need some room and will be in the anyway.

I think the bypass MIGHT be a firmware issue. Trying to find someone with a Fortin datalink to update it.

The issue I have now is the dash light. Dash lights work while the remote start is engaged, but turn off when started by the key :notsure:

Regarding the dash light issue- Are the parking lights coming on when remote start is engaged? And do the parking lights work when the truck is running normally, with the key?

You know, I just realized that they aren't working either. I thought they were, but only on remote start. Originally they weren't working, but realized I had the fuse wrong on the brain.

I thought you might say that. So, just to clarify, are the parking lights working with the remote start or not? And I understand that they are not when truck is started with the key.

Parking lights and dash lights work with remote start. As soon as I turn the key and disengage remote start, both turn off.

Ok so I think you may have just blown the truck's fuse for them when you had the viper fuse in the wrong position. When truck is remote started they are being powered through the viper so the truck fuse doesn't matter. But as soon as remote start is disengaged it needs the power from the truck, which it isn't getting.

I'm goimg to feel like a real ass hat if it is only a fuse. I was going to look at the fuse, but didn't because it was getting power under the remote start. I wasn't even thinking that it was getting direct power from the brain.
