Is there anyway to know if I have a custom tune? I got this truck used and the throttle response seems pretty sensitive for all of the complaints I’ve heard about it not being sensitive. Makes me think it has a tune. I can’t even begin to imagine how sensitive it’d be with something like the peddle commander. I’m coming from a GT350 so when I say it’s sensitive I mean it, especially when starting from a stop. Maybe I’m just not used to truck driving yet?

Is there anyway just to reapply a factory tune?

No way to tell if you don’t have the tuning software to look at the maps, tables, and data. I wouldn’t bother trying to put a factory tune on

    Oh look, another mod....

If the interior of your truck smells like douchebag, that's a good sign it's been tuned.

Why’d you get out of the GT350? I imagine that would be a blast to drive.

Hey there fellow shelby. Yes, your truck is most likely tuned. I have a 22 trd pro and a GT500. If you don't feel a throttle delay coming from your 350 to the tacoma, yeah your truck has a tune. Just hope it has the KDmax pro. I could feel mine had a delay, that's why I got a pedal commander.

Sensitive you say like quick throttle response near zero lag? It’s tuned

I can tell you i know for a fact my truck has the latest factory tune in it. The throttle is very responsive...just touch it and it revs up and goes. Imo, there seem to be a notable difference in the way these trucks respond from one another. You either get a good one, or you have one that runs sub par. I came from a gen1 4.7 tundra, and this truck is no different in throttle response. I use to think a lot these complaints were bs from owners expecting sports car performance, but now i'm starting to wonder if some have a real gripe.
