    Hello

I'm thinking of going with a diamondback cover and bed rack of some sort. I eventually want to haul my MTB on the side of the rack, gear in the bed, RTT on the rack. All super easy to do, but I also have a 10.5 foot long rod vault I would want to bring too but most bed racks don't look like they're wide enough to mount that and a RTT. Anyone with a rod vault manage to get it on?

I've recently purchased a CBI bed rack, tepui rtt, and a prinsu roof rack. I am also trying to solve the same problem. Where to mount the rod vault.

Still no real solution here. I've currently been thinking I could maybe get a smaller rtt and mount it furthest to the passenger side and get a bed rack that is roof level to mount the rod vault on the driver side clearing the roof. It may take some custom work to get the rod vault on though...

How high is the rack you have your RTT mounted to? If it's a few inches over the cab you might be able to mount the rod vault underneath the tent.

I have been looking at KB Voodoo's modular system for this. They have brackets for a MTB off the side of the rack, the rack works with tonneau covers and if you get the taller one, you might be able to either put the rod vault under the rack or maybe off one side so that it's higher than the passenger door (if that makes sense).

My guess is that RTTs are too wide and take up too much room on the bed racks to squeeze in a rod vault side by side.

I have a Thule castaway that I can put on the roof rack that I plan on using along with a RTT on the bed... but Thule discontinued them a while ago. If you're just using the vehicle and rod vault going from spot to spot, what about one of those window mounted suction cup rod holders? I think you'd hvae to break down your rods when commuting to the wild, but the RTT wouldn't get in the way with rods then.

You could look into awning mounts that will connect to the top of the rack below the tent and should be high enough that the rod vault will extend over the doors.
