I’m not trying to get free stuff out of any of this, I’m wondering about how to do vendor stuff and help sell there items? I don’t want free stuff.

I run a family business selling fishing bobbers, I get Instagram messages and emails all the time from people wanting me to send them free shit so they can post a picture for all 9 of their followers to see.

Obviously, without knowing the specifics, it's hard to give advice but just be sure that the partnership is beneficial for you AND for the company.

    Good luck!

Edit to add: I also have a guy I send free items because he promotes my product regularly, I see orders every time he posts about us (easy to tell as he lives in a different part of the country), in this situation it's easy to quantify the ROI and see that sending him $30 in free items brings me $200 in sales, I'll do that deal all day long!

Every brand is going to have different criteria. Some want a minimum order, some want you to stock X amount of their product, some want brick and mortar bizs, etc etc. Some do not give AF- of course if they set everyone up as a “vendor” their products will be whored out so bad, you can’t make any money on them.

Step 1: Buy generic mass produced vehicle.

Step 2: Convince yourself and everyone else your special.

Step 3: Buy all your sponsored parts with the same discount code everyone else gets. Go crazy with the hashtags and look like I complete douche bag, but don't worry ... at least your build is sponsored.

Figure out what you want to sell

Save a bunch of money or go ask the bank for a business loan

    Get a business license

Reach out to brands of products you want to sell

Buy a bunch of their stuff

Put it in a storefront or on a web page

Put together a PowerPoint presentation detailing why you would be a good representative for their product and pitch it to them

Beyond that I don't know, I just go to work every day

My friend is a Festool dealer… that’s why he’s my friend. :anonymous:
He installs kitchens as his day job. Being in the industry is what made his Festool gig successful, word of mouth. He reached out to Festool and asked how to be vendor. End of story.
