What is the process for putting on a decal on your window?

    Clean window with windex
What do I need to spray on the window before I put the decal on?
Then place it on and then squeegie it out with a credit card. What else should I know?

Also, how do I get the dealer sticker off my tailgate?

use heat (blow dryer works) and just get a piece up then slowly slide it off

as far as putting decals on... you got it right but I know people who soak their decals first then put it on (solution of soap and water)

I've heard soap and water but how much soap do you put in the spray bottle with water?

DON'T USE WINDEX unless its the Ammonia FREE version.
The Ammonia in glass cleaners affects the adhesive on the sticker and causes it to not stick well.
I recommend a mixture of alcohol and water for cleaning the surface.

How big is this decal? If its more than 10-12" I'd hinge it with some masking tape so you can get it all lined up straight and level before pealing off the back. The tape hinge on one end will then allow you to flip it up, peal the back and slowly bring it back down with a DL or CC to press it into place squeezing out the bubbles from the taped end towards the other end.

SOURCE: I've been installing vinyl graphics and decals for many years.

Plain ol' water in a spray bottle will work. No soapy water needed. That's what I did for my tailgate decal. Worked great. Just take your time.
