I need to replace my alternator in my 2013 Tacoma 4X4 TRD offroad and the Haynes service manual say's to unbolt the AC compressor to free up some room in order to remove the alternator. Do I have to unbolt the AC compressor to be able to remove the alternator?

    Thanks

    Roger

That is backwards. You need to remove the alternator to remove the compressor.
    Alternator comes out pretty easy.

Do you have a 4 cyl or 6 cyl engine?
