Ok I just got my Protege controller from Etrailers. Wife does not want any holes drilled in the truck and doesnt want the controller mounted on the bottom of the dash since it hits her legs. I was looking at mounting it inside the compartment infront of the shifter below the power outlets and aux input. My question is how do you remove the black covers that cover the extra holes for switches? My thought was to run the wire through the hole, so I dont have to drill a hole but I must be missing something on getting the black cover off. Thank you.

Also if anyone has pics of theirs mounted there could you post it please?

My blanks pushed out from the rear, IIRC.
