how to remove/replace front bumper 04 DC

hey guys i am going to go look at a bumper on thursday hopefully but i had a few questions.

how do i remove my stock one properly as im sure i could go out there and do some shit but it might not be the correct way. also how would i make sure the bumper im going to go look it will fit? it was built for a 96?

the owner said "outside mounts where the bumper support mounts is 39.5 inches" where would they be measuring it from? where i measured from was 29.5 or 30 i think. to clarify they also said "there are 6 mounts, the two that are on the side of the frame that hold the bumper support is 39.5

just dont want to drive down to find out the bumper wont fit seeing as they arent going to help me mount it.

95.5-97 and 01-04 bumpers mount the exact same way.
It should fit just fine.

anyone have any idea the stock width of the front end of 01-04s? i looked it up and it said the front track is 57.1 and the bumper i want is 76in apparently. will that look like shit on my stock 04? said the bumper fit perfect with 4in flares on a 96
