BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Loosen lug nuts one turn. Start truck and put in gear. Hit the throttle, turn the steering wheel and slam on the brakes. It’s Miller time.

It's been nearly seven years since I made this post and I can't believe the amount of crap that it has accumulated. I've disabled replies so keep that crap coming boys. To rizrox...glad it worked.

Did this technique many times of over 50 years of cars and trucks, always worked, but I sprayed each lug after loosening the nuts, kroil works the best, or mystery oil cut with diesel or kerosene, 50/50 mix.

I'm resurrecting this thread !! Because I had to come back to it several times in the past week - and wanted to tell you what worked for me.

First off, Tacoma '16 .. I haven't taken the tires off since I had a place put on new tires about 30,000 miles ago. Been through east coast winters and backing up into the salt to launch a boat over the past summer.

Last week I tried taking off the front tires to change the brakes and... siezed! So I used the rubber-mallet-on-the-sidewall trick and that worked. Surprising.

Then I go to rotate the tires, so I try to take off the rear tires. Siezed! This time, I tried the rubber mallet trick, PB Blaster, I even tried the trick you folks have been beating on (loosened lugs and driving up and back on the driveway). Nothing was working.

Friend of mine told me to take my short-handled sledge hammer (one of those 3 or 4 pound sledges with the short handles) and wack the tire rim on the inside (right where the tire meets the rim), rotating the tire as I go as needed. After some good hard wacks, rotating the tire like 45 degrees after a few swings, and it came off. Same thing on the other side - worked.

Just adding that to the thread - hope it helps someone else.

After I got my wheels off, I scoured the rust off, blasted it with some brakleen, then applied small thin layer of anti-sieze... no idea if that will help but... can't make it worse!
