so I removed the two screws holding the tailight in the truck but when I try to pull the tailight out, I am getting a lot of resistance. Is there a third bolt or some clip or something I need to release? Thanks!!!!

There is probably two tabs . Pry it out with a plastic pry tool if you have one.

Yep. It was a little tough I had to power up and go to Super Saiyan 2 to acquire the strength to remove it

Make sure you removed the "right" bolts... I think there is 3 of them there.... It shows in the manual...
Once you have the correct 2 bolts, it drops out....

Well they were in there tight. My driver side tail light is missing one of the bracket clips. Guess I'm going to the dealer and asking them why.

I got the bed stiffeners done. Turned out great! Highly recommend!

Looks like I need to buy one of those mechanics manuals for this truck...

    Thanks for the help guys!

The tabs on the back of the tail light slide into clips. The clips sit in the holes of the body. When you pull them off sometimes the clip will stick in the hole, come out and still be attached to light fixture or have fallen off inside of the hole to the bottom. Just get new clips they are cheap.
