    I have a 2004 Tacoma 2WD with the 2.4 motor.

I'm going to change my coolant and would like to remove and clean the coolant reservoir bottle, but I'm not sure how to remove it?

I don't see any bolts that hold it in and it feels like it probably (somehow) snaps in place?

Does anyone know how to remove this or can you point me toward some documentation on how to do so?

    Thank you,
    Ed

    Reserected from the dead.
Yep, snaps in. You will have to remove battery hold down. Remove hose and pull straight up. It will have some resistance. Be prepared so you don't smack yourself in the face.

Or splash coolant in your face and eyes, right?

    :)

    Thank you!

My coolant reservoir comes out really easily on my 2002 Tacoma. No splashing if it isn't really full. You just pull up on it. If it does resist, you can always suck out some of the coolant with a turkey baster.

... before you "pull" it up to slide out spray a little silicone in/on the slots. Work it up a bit then push it back down. Repeat ... going a bit further each time.
