How to remove top cap/trim on bed

'07 base taco. Sold. Now Taco-less

Factory cruise added, wood storage box in bed, wood center console/armrest, charcoal air filter delete.

I want to remove the top plastic pieces that run on each side of the bed. I pulled and wiggled lightly and it seems they may just be clips but I don't want to damage anything by yanking on it. Is it just a pull-off thing that'll snap back on? Any special way to pull it, or is there hardware to remove somewhere?
