The bulb on passenger side shorted out because the lens was full of water. I removed the bulb holder but realize I need to replace housing. My 2016 TRDOR does not have an external screw on bumper inlet containing the bulb housing. Does anyone know how to remove the housing? Also, I twisted the bulb holder counterclockwise to remove but can’t seem to get holder depressed enough to reinsert. I see the 3 tabs on socket with one being wider than other 2. Any tips on reseating the bulb holder. Very tight fit with trailer hitch. Wondering if I need to remove trailer hitch to get hand on bulb holder or to depress the 2 tabs on the housing which may then allow it to be pushed out thru the bumper opening. Thanks in advance.

I got it figured out. I depressed the tabs and pushed housing out thru bumper. I was expecting the raised black rubber edge around the hole to be part of housing, which it is not. Glad I did not try prying under edge of black trim with flat blade as I would have mangled up bumper cover. The tight fit under bumper scratched up back of thumb pretty bad. I inserted the bulb housing with harness pulled thru bumper hole. Took a fair amount of Force depressing gasket to get the 3 ears inserted in their slots. I was not able to do it from under bumper. Especially with trailer hitch

I believe there is a TSB for leaking license plate bulbs.
