I don’t think so. From reading other posts here, faults can still remain, but you can still have a successful reset. The fault just stays after the fact. I can’t even get past step 1.

The whole system is tied into the ABS ECU under the driver seat. If you have an ABS fault at any of the four wheels then the process won’t work. Check and clear the 94 error first. If it is a short then it will immediately return, a diagnostic check
of the system doesn’t occur until you exceed 7 mph. After you clear the 94 error then the system will enter diagnostic mode and reset defaults utilizing the process in the thread. If you need to see it then just get an inexpensive TIS setup off
Amazon for about $30. You can see all the systems as they compete
the diagnostic check. It will also freeze frame at the point a fault is detected.

My ABS ECU is part of the ABS module in the engine compartment....not that it helps but...the more you know.

That is an actuator module with an ECU attached to it. The LRU under the driver seat measures the yaw and pitch that he is trying to reset. I should have been
more specific. All of them together are part of the ABS system as a sub component of the VSC system.

Hey has anyone been able to do it before, but not now? I lifted my truck in 14', and this worked great. The lights triggered again after I adjusted my coilovers, and I can't get it to work again. Help me Obi-Wan, you're my only hope.

Assuming you tried this already but the key for me was level ground. I did it twice and it worked for a little only to have the light come back on. After finding the most level spot I could and doing it again I've been good with the lights off for 500 miles or so

Changed from 16" to 17" wheels and started to get issues. (Front wheel braking when corning) Did the re-set a couple times but hasn't worked. The last time I did it on my flat garage floor so not sure what else I can do...?

This is exactly what I needed after I replaced the suspension on my 2013. Easy and to the point. Took me 2 minutes

My TPMS wasn't set to the new wheel sensors so that light was on. However, that has been fixed now. I haven't been in a situation to test it again since that. But my alignment is so far off that I'm having to get another one done after new LCAs and cam bolts are installed on Wednesday.

I will re-set everything again and report back after everything is fixed.

Awesome post. I took my truck to get an oil change and the technician stalled out super hard (manual transmission) on my 2015 Tacoma coming out of the service bay. This triggered the slip indicator light. After a back and forth with the technician, and checking for a diagnostic code with their computer (their computer didn’t give a code), I went home and googled the issue. After finding this forum, I tried out the solution and got rid of the slip indicator light in less than 5 minutes. Thanks again.

Had some UCA’s installed as well as new tires and an alignment and I tried this.
I can get the ABS and slip light to blunt during the rest process but when I do step 3 and leave it in there/turn the truck to on position they don’t blink.
    What am I doing wrong?

As a follow up… it ended up that the shop broke an ABS sensor wire and they replaced it for free. All good now

Sting wrote King Of Pain while staying at the Jamaican estate known as Goldeneye. It’s previous occupant was Ian Fleming. He wrote his James Bond novels there.

This worked awesome! The light was on after an alignment...shop "reset it" came back as soon as I started driving.
With your reset it's been out for good (I hope)
