This is one of these times if it's not broke don't fix it, I've had my Tacoma for a yr now with no codes or VDC lite stay on,the guy I bought it from did a front end alignment and 2" lift, I though he maybe he didn't reset the VSC so I tried it, level floor, wheel straight, lights flashed and it look good. Went I started the truck again the VSC came on and stayed on, could not get it off, got my buddys scanner and removed it. All good until I drove 50 ft and it's back on. What's to do next?

I forgot to do the last step, just plug the wire into the holes and turn the key on,both the abs and VSC lights will flash really fast, wait 5 seconds and turn the key off, pull the jumper wire out and your done.

Hey, someone knows how to do it on a 2020 Tacoma or did it work for someone? I’m checking the OBD2 and in the 4th starting from the passenger side it doesn’t have any cables coming in so it won’t short it. Still I plug in my scanner and it works fine. I’m wondering if I should short different pin positions as the original post.

I'm not sure about the gen 3 like yours but I'm guessing it's the same process, there's a few videos you can watch also,I wouldn't recommend poking wires in different port holes, you may end up doing damage that could cost a lot to get fixed. Watch the video 3 or 4 times just to be certain it's done right. Good luck.

Thanks. I kept researching and I see my OBD2 sensor has pins 4 and 12 unoccupied. It’s setted up different idk why and supposedly does not have TC or TS

Hey so I have a 2023 trd sport 4x4 on a 6inch lift and 22x12. (I know it’s not liked but I’m young) anyways, the shop that installed the lift mounted my abs harness incorrectly and my abs kept coming on intermittently. I replaced the harness and the light won’t go away.. how do reset this? What can I do? I have no issues with my brakes or coming to a stop.

Have you reset/cleared the codes from the computer?
If you don’t have one, I highly recommend the Blue Driver OBD2 reader, in the interim you can go to most any auto parts store to get the codes read, some will clear the temporary codes others won’t. :notsure:

If you drive in long enough (like 50+ miles) it might self clear, but that’s a maybe.

thanks for the follow up, I just did a level lift and got an alignment and am about to do this after stumbling on this stickey after coming here to look for something else. I was wondering why the slip control dash light came on
