I just want to say thank You for this write up, it saved me from going off on NTB. I thought they broke something during the alignment as they had to cut out my inner tie rods and was worried they knicked a wire. Still furious about being price gouged but at least I'm not worried my truck is broken.

I had the same issue. Installed a lift last year and my alignment sleeves were seized. After prematurely wearing my new tires, I replaced alignment sleeves and front LCA bushings yesterday. I had the alignment all jacked up. On the way to the shop this morning, my steering wheel was crooked and the truck drove like crap.
After the alignment, my VSC light was on.

Just did the reset and the light went out!

Great write up. Will confirm driving tomorrow but I'm confident it will be good!

I've done this countless times, even had shops and dealerships reset mine but the truck still acts erratically in corners to the point where I just pull the fuse out.

Had this issue with icons, Kings, spring over, spring under, cranked up or not. Haha I'm almost positive I'm never getting rid of it. Though I did notice I never had the issues with a different set of tires. I find it hard to believe going from one brand of tire to another had anything to do with it. I was going to start toying with the yaw sesnor position to trick the truck at how it sits like the tundra guys do.

Great write up. I'm embarrassed to say how long I drove around with those two lights on. Fixed with a paper clip within one minute.

Well, I got all the way to the end of the driveway before the lights came back on...

I recently reset my VSC using this mod about a month or so ago but now my VSC and ABS light won’t reset with the wire mod. The VSC and ABS lights don’t flash simultaneously (they flash intermittently) and I can’t recalibrate the VSC successfully...the ABS and VSC lights flash quickly only for 1 second and won’t shut off when I do the second part of the mod. What do you guys think? I tried to recalibrate about 5 times with the same results - VSC and ABS lights still illuminated on dash. Maybe wheel sensor is loose?! I didn’t check that yet.

Never mind. I just checked and I have a severed wheel sensor cable. Going to try and fix it.

Hello, This might be a dumb question but can you reset the VSC by using the delete code function on the OBD scanner and will it reset automatically? I am getting the code Zero Point C1210 calibration of yaw rate sensor undone. I am using Bluedriver and it is awesome. Covers the whole system. Traction control light came on after tire rotation and alignment

I was also wondering if this reset works on a 2019? I’m having this issue after installing icon stage 4. I checked all cables and wires. Everything looks good. I tried the reset but couldn’t get the lights to blink as in the description. Called around and no one can read codes for a 2019?? A few places I even said 2018 to no avail. Took it to the dealership and they said since vehicle is “modified” recalibrating the VSC isn’t under warranty and would cost $165. I wasn’t going to sit there and argue with incompetence so I drove away. I’m hoping an alignment shop can take care of this once I go in. Unless anyone has any other ideas?

I have a 2014. The link is for the excellent code reader that I bought. You download the excellent app to your cell and then you can reset the light from the app. I would follow the info given by the forum and use the scanner app to reset. Maybe you can call the Bluedriver customer service to ask if their scanner reads the 2019 codes. Must be nice to have a 2019!!!

The same shit everyone else has.
    Here’s a little tip -

If you have anything plugged into your OBD port (like a Scan Gauge or Ultra Gauge) and disconnect and reconnect the battery, it may set the VCS light off.

I did this the other day when I was doing upper control arms.

Removed the battery to get the UCA bolt out, reinstalled everything and the VSC light came on. Thought I stretched a wire or something stupid causing to come on. After resetting the VSC a half dozen times and it still coming back, I realized my Scan Gauge wasn’t displaying anything.

Unplugged it. Plugged it back in. It worked. The VSC light went off and has stayed off.

Something in the OBD plug shorts when you leave the gauge plugged in and disconnect and reconnect the battery.

Should of realized / remembered this because this wasn’t the first time I had this happen.

Thanks for the response. I’ll try some of these today. If all else fails, back to the dealership. Or maybe just try replacing the ABS lines to the rear wheels. It seems the issue took place when we dropped the rear axle to add the icon leaf. Does anyone know if dropping the axle actually Triggers some type of VSC sensor?

Hey Nick, just wanted to pop in and say thank you. I had to do this today after an alignment and rotation.

The only deviation from the instructions was the location of the The sensor connector. The connector thingy on my 2015 is actually located just above the e-brake, under/behind the dash. I used a paper clip to short it out and your instructions worked flawlessly.

These forums are an incredible resource because of contributors like you. Thanks again!!!

Quick question. Did this. ABS light flashed, not VSC. Tried it a dozen times and could never get the VSC light to blink. Any input?

I tried this several times on my 2019 and couldn’t get it to work. But then again I had a short in my rear left ABS line so that could have been the issue.

That’s exactly what happened to me when I installed my icon stage 4. Ended up just barely pinching the rear left ABS line. $250 cable unfortunately for me. If you have a 2015 you’re probably in luck for a cheaper aftermarket as there are no after market for mine yet. Lol dealership wanted 300 bucks to install the cable harness. Took me 30 minutes on my own.

How did you know it was the abs cable? My abs light isnt on, it's the VSC/ traction control light. And I cant disable the TRAC or anything until the light goes off. So no offroading until this stupid thing is resolved
