I bought an android 13 CarPlay head unit and I don’t know what I’m missing on hooking up the factory oem back up camera to this stereo. Most of it was plug and play but the seller was from China I think and our communications don’t translate too well let’s say. Can someone please help me I’ll attach pictures…
The package came with a back up camera wire that has an rca plug(female) and 2 short wires which is taped off.
I don’t know where to plug it in even cause there’s 2 video in plugs but those don’t work. I looked up a factory camera for my taco and it looks nothing like the plugs in the harness. Pics below

I'm assuming you may already know this, but the only two wires you have circled in the pics are Sirius and GPS antenna wires, IIRC.

Ok thank you I circled them cause I was asking the seller a question which he didn’t answer. I do appreciate that though. Do you know anything about how to retain my backup camera

Which brand? I recall trying both plugs on Joying unit with key on and the transmission in reverse

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
What brand? Joying offers a wiring harness to communicate with the ECU, and retain the factory camera.

You mean Android Auto? CarPlay is Apple products for iPhones.

It’s advertised as an Android 13 with CarPlay and Android Auto. Everything works except for the reverse but I have it plugged into the head unit but the rca cable is just dangling there waiting for some help lol.

On Joying thread, this guy had the same issues. Turned out to be a setting.

I wish I could remember what all I had to do to get mine to work, but I'll throw something out completely from my hind-quarters: The RCA plug is just video. Is the camera still getting power and ground? You can check the plug that's underneath the rear bumper. It's a grayish-color, four-pin if I remember right.

Edit: it will only get 6v, not 12v.

I haven’t started the project yet. Just ordered the joying ar cam from Amazon on Black Friday. More out of curiosity to see what everyone else did
