new to these forums; almost just as new to a tacoma :)

my under hood fuse block and covers (upper and lower) are all busted up, so i grabbed a salvaged fuse block and covers (wiring harness included).

i am trying to get the fuse block itself separated from the bottom cover and its seems i am stumped.
there are tabs that appear to need releasing, but i cant seem to get anything to come close to loosening.

it may be i am just spooked about cracking the lower cover/fuse block, but is there a trick to this separation?

thanks for the looks and any help.
    cheers,
    cd

Welcome! There are I think 7 tabs holding the main box to the bottom. You need a couple small flat screwdrivers to do it. Just get them separated on one end and kinda put pressure(light) and work towards other end. I start on fender side two of them. Might need third screwdriver to unhook tabs going toward other end. Work both sides as you go. GL
Let me know if this worked for you.GL
