OEM bed mat for me, but don’t remember what I paid for it.

My local Tractor Supply has a stall mat for 57 bucks however $200 doesn’t seem crazy for a mat of that quality that fits like a glove, and I don’t have to wrangle that f*cker while trying to cut it.

If i put that $200 into an investment account instead, in 20 years I might generate another $20, and at that time I can buy a starbucks latte and still have $200

Cupholder that is big enough to hold a 32oz water bottle.

Cargo bar, straps, bungee cords, cables, crates anything else you would use to secure something.

But yeah, I’d say even at $200 it’s worth it for the OEM bed mat. Although I’m sure you could find one for less or an alternative option.

I think I paid $100 to a dealer for my bed mat. It’s a crap load of “rubber”, shaped perfect for the bed, solved my problem, and looks like it might last the life of the truck. The ROI seems good to me. I have bigger fish to fry.

The bigger question is, how do I prevent it from being stolen?! Chain it to the leaf springs?

    Well, I mean...there you go.

I personally bought a Toyota OEM bedmat secondhand for a good price and have been very happy with it for the past decade. It's holding up wonderfully.

Toyota put tie down rings in the bed for a reason. If you need more a "D" ring with a backing plate.

    it's amazing isn't it?
Some bolt on all the other aftermarket doodads like a new headunit/stereo, look for larger tires, etc and they can't be bothered for something that actually serves a purpose.

how i made one for my 90 pickup. got tired of hearing chain, and stuff slamming around off-*road, or things just rolling around. made a huge difference.

I have a factory bed mat and a bed extender. I use it like a cage in my bed. Keeps my groceries or whatever from sliding to the front of the bed.

I went the carpet route also. Got a nice thick-pile scrap piece from a carpet store for $40.00 and cut to fit.. But not because stuff was sliding around but because I road trip a lot and sleep a lot in the back. The carpet works great so if I'm crawling around the back, the hard plastic bed is not destroying my knees. (Anymore than they already are.. lol)

Even things on bed mats fall over that's why I added "D" rings up a bit higher. If you want some thing super simple and long as you want or short as you want have a look at "Cam Jamb's" it doesn't get any easier then that. I use them small stuff gas cans, super market stuff, small enough to put in the glove box. I can have stuff tied down before you can untangle a ratchet strap.

OEM bed mats are $125-150 at nearly any dealer, brand new. Or you can scoop one up off Marketplace or the classifieds here for $50-100, nearly weekly in any given region.
