I like to listen to music from my truck when working in the garage or out doors. The stupid alarm that never stops is pretty annoying. So, I cut a bit of wood and made up this little stfu block.

It's a 1x2 piece of pine. I cut a small notch at both ends to match the inside diameter of the door clasp. A small amount of utility knife work to round out the corners and it works great.

Yea, I like the alarms purpose. I dont want to shut it down always. Just when I have a need to keep my door open for a while. I'll just keep this down by the seatbelt for quick access. I wish Toyota would program a session shut off request. Like a double press of the button or something to silence it.

The dealer can turn off the alarm completely or you can learn to do it yourself using Toyota TechStream software.

    It's the 1st thing I do when I get a new Toyota.

You could do what I did and rewire your stereo to work without the key. Then you could open all 4 doors, turn off the dome light, crank up the radio and party on.

Can't you just turn the key one more click to "on" and get the beeping to stop? That's how I do it...yeah, it's running the battery a little harder but considering the low voltage used to run the stereo you should be fine
