I've Worked at a dealership years ago. You wouldn't believe the amount of damage done to new cars in shipment. So even when you drive it off the lot most likely it's been repaired and if it's not prep correctly, it'll peel off. Especially when you power wash the surface. The pressure is so great it'll lift it off, down to the bare metal. By the way I live in a town who has the world's biggest car action, Ocoee, Fl. They'll perp cars that are a couple of years old. Weather their rental, lease, repo they'll clean them up. Line up the same color cars 10 to 30 at a time do the bodywork then run them through a paint booth using the same paint and clear coat if needed. Just like assembly line work, then auction them off to the car Dealers.

It's funny our 16 year old J.R. died and my wife said never again. 3 weeks later she was looking to buy another one, found someone down from Ohio. They had a litter and were living out of a 2 rate hotel. We bought one my wife wanted, to keep the dog company I ask about purchasing a second one. That's when they offered a deal on the second one, the devil dog. We had to go to a dog trainer and retrain my wife so the dog didn't rule us! LOL! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRwtTqy4OQM

That stuff is tough as sh!t if I remember correctly. Might not be a bad plan. Isn't there something you can spray on yourself, too? Not that I recommend it. I bet commercially installed stuff is thicker/tougher.

I did a whole jeep in monstaliner one time and it was some incredible stuff. Might go that route if the rhino liner is too much.

Seems like the process might be to rough up the surface first. Then apply the stuff? Or do you just spray it right on?

It came with a pad to rough up the paint. The products is top notch and was extremely easy to do yourself and looked great. It also comes in any color under the sun. it was also roll on but you could spray it on if you have a paint gun.
