What are people doing with their stock "tweeters"? Worth putting them up for sale?

I learned from the internet. Definitely not a self-discovery hahaha.

I just put mine in my "stock parts I dont wanna throw away in case I need them in the future" box.

Just did these in my dads truck for his fathers day present. Noticeable difference as far as clarity. The vocals sound great!!

My Subaru tweeters have started getting distortion at high volumes on songs with a lot of mids. Anyone else have this issue?

Here are the specs for the Subaru tweeters for those who are interested.
Calibrated 22mm Titanium-dome tweeters with phase alignment
    o Rated Input = 150 Watts RMS
    o Max Input = 300 Watts Peak
    o Impedance = 4 Ohms
o Resonance = N/A (crossed over above resonant frequency)
    o Output SPL = 94db @ 1Watt/1 Meter
    o Frequency Response = 3.5kHz – 21kHz

Just installed them tonight (Subaru kickers) and it sounds much better. Defiantly worth it.

I got the tweeters and 4x 6.75 kickers speakers. I also added noico sound deadener to the outter shell of the door. So much better. Not only is road noise reduced, but Thebass is clear, crisp and thumping now. I highly recommemd sound deadenerC30A81E4-250B-4A3D-B4A1-AF665112F5F7.jpg

Thank you for the write-up. I installed these yesterday.

I scored an amazing deal on eBay. Otherwise, I would have gotten the stares o_O from my wife again.

Do you have a link for the speakers you purchased? Did they plug right in?

Crutchfield.com is where you want to buy the kickers. Type in your truck info and it will popup. You need both speaker adaptors and wire harnesses, but are free when bought with crutchfield

Does anyone have the Toyota part number for the dashboard speaker grill/cover on the passenger side (with photocell). I installed the Subaru Kickers from Amazon (worth it - totally worth it) and broke 1 of the 2 molded clips on the speaker grill itself. Rookie move with the pry tools.

I know that there was a problem with 2016/2017s rattling at the connection between the speaker grill and pillar and there is plenty of information on the forum about solving for that but my 2018 does not rattle. I want to make sure that I order the right part for an '18 in the event that Toyota changed this.

Cant wait to break more plastic doing the speakers on the doors. Thanks for all of the intel on this thread. Super helpful.

I had a question -do these speakers you mentioned (I looked them up and they have GREAT reviews) come with mounting hardware/brackets to fit the Tacoma, or are they plug and play with existing mounting points?
