This is exactly what I'm working on. I put in all of the door speakers today, I have had the tweeters(RF) but am waiting for ********* to ship out the mounting brackets and wiring harnesses. Already sounds way better.

Also, for anyone doing the door speakers, rather than undoing the cables to the door handle, it is way easier just to pop the entire handle through the back of the panel and leave it connected to the cables. There are two round "pegs" as I'll call them that hold it in, it pops in and out real easy.

Crutchfield includes the adapter plates, and wiring for the door speakers- for free.

For the Tweeters up on the dash you will need plates and wiring(these aren't as easily "plug and play" as the Subaru speakers- you have to get the mounting plates(from *********), put the tweeters in them, and get the wiring harness(also from *********) and connect it.
I've always been a Rockford Fosgate guy myself.

You won't need an amp unless you want to add a sub. Those two sets of speakers will give you all six speakers to replace the OEM.

As mentioned above you'll need the tweeter adapters, everything else Crutchfield will send you.

Vietjdmboi here on the forum custom printed my tweeter mounting plates and they fit the RF tweeters perfectly.

@Deacon Blues so I can just purchase these 2 sets of speakers to replace all 6 speakers.. ( I just need the mounting plates for the tweeters from @vietjdmboi ) these speakers are plug and play? and how big of difference does it make?

Yes the one set of components will replace the rear doors and the dash tweeters, the 6x9s will replace the front doors. You'll need the mounting plates and the wire harness for the tweeters. Crutchfield will send you the other harnesses and adapters for free.

Clarity and quality of the front soundstage is night and day different. You can hear subtle detail like high hats and cymbals and fingers on guitar strings. I've had no loss of volume or midbass either with the Rockford Fosgate swap.

There are YouTube videos on how to remove door panels. I’d get s cheap pair of panel tools from Amazon too. 8$ bucks. It took me about 3 hours to do all 6 speakers. Sound is s much better.

I just did the tweeter upgrade. Honestly I wasn't expecting too much, especially with my SR factory head unit... but damn! It does make a huge difference. Gotta get some door speakers ordered now.

Yes. Immediately I noticed a difference in clarity and range. It's like the speakers were muffled before.

I don’t have to turn it up as loud anymore. Not saying it’s louder, just a lot more full at the same volume levels

As others have said, I wasn't expecting much but it is definitely an impressive difference with the Subaru tweeters. Glad I gave it a try, highly recommended to anyone on the fence.
