    Hey everyone,
New tacoma owner and new to the site, posting anyways, have learned a lot about the truck reading others threads. I bought my 2013 DCSB V6 auto as the base model without cruise and keyless entry, etc. Wasn't a problem until I found out I may be doing a lot more traveling in the next few years (8 hr road trips). Now I'm curious if I can install cruise without having to run wires ( hoping it's plug and play). I have seen the threads of doing it on toyota nation on 05+ models but it seemed there was some problems on the 2012+ models. Those with problems happened to have 4cyl motors though so not sure if it would be different with a different engine configuration. Does anyone know or have experience with installing CC on a 2013 taco v6 auto? Is it plug and play like the older ones? Someone mentioned it might matter if the truck was built in Texas vs Mexico? Just looking for some info before I buy the parts.

May have found some info by contacting a guy that installs them. Here is what he left me in a message.

The quick way to check is to unbolt and then lean the air bag forward to gain access to the plug. The side bolts are Torx T-30. Unplug the horn harness. It's the single wire, probably blue, in the white, 4 pin plug. Anyway, with the ignition on, but not running, carefully so as not to bend the pins, short the bottom two pins where the horn plugs in, to each other momentarily. Should go *short and remove* cruise lamp on, *short and remove* cruise lamp off.

So if the cruise lamp come on in the dash cluster, you have the CC software
