I want to make sure that when I upload pic of my truck anywhere on the internet, the location isn't included (gps coords) in the data.

Should be able to go into the settings on the phone and toggle location services on and off. You want it set to off. If it’s android I’m not much help and don’t know how to access the location settings

The Google camera app has a toggle in settings for saving location. Using a file explorer (Solid Explorer) you should be able to see the GPS data in file properties.

I don't believe that data would upload to sites like here and if it did, I wouldn't even know how you access that information.

Also an EXIF viewer would be helpful to verify any data attached to your pics.

One option if you have a Google account is to upload a few images to a Google photos folder. If you click on an individual image --> "information" button, an info screen will pop-up and displays file information and if location information is available, will show a small Google map frame with the approximate location of the photo. The location feature works with my smartphone photos. However, with a digital camera (apparently has no GPS functions or it is turned off by default), there is no location information. There might be other ways, but this is one quick option.

Oh it does. There is an app called Koredoko that you can use to see picture locations.

    Interesting, never heard of that.

OP, you should be able to select "details" of the file either on your computer or phone. If there is location data included it should be shown.

I’m going to try it out just to verify.

Took this with location services on. I’m going to delete it from my photo library and then save it from here and see if it still contains location info.

I stand corrected. Maybe Bob coded it to where it strips the info from the pics as they are uploaded. I do know there was a time you could download pics and pull the location info, I helped a few people out with it on here before.
