Can’t seem to get this yellow airbag sensor connector unplugged. I’m troubleshooting the left front SRS circuit for B1615 code. Would like to unplug and plug back in and hope that’s all I need. Thanks in advance!

I’ve bolted some stuff to it *lists cool stuff here*
If you stick a flathead straight down in that little rectangle with it slide back towards the hole?? IMG_1634.jpg

A little bit…didn’t want to break it.

The rectangle in the middle or the hole on the left? It moved a little but I didn’t want to break it.

Personally think the rectangle in the middle, try pushing in further in. It might take some pressure on the clip as you push the center.. I don’t have an example in front of me thought just what your photo looks like to me.. :notsure:

Please disconnect your battery before procedure. I came across one (looks like something what you have), where you push the wire side in while pulling on the outer shell.

Some of these airbag system connectors have a spring-loaded latch. I've seen it with the clock spring plug on the steering column. Move the slider in the middle of the plug in the direction of the arrow:

Unplugging and plugging the sensor back on likely won't fix it. I suspect you will find the sensor severely corroded looking inside the connector. Common issue with older vehicles.

Yea I almost bought the sensor anyway but figured I’d clean it a bit first. Thanks!

^When you unbolt the sensor from the radiator support, you may find the underside swollen with pus. Good luck!
