no, I'm dumping on how needlessly complicated you all are making this with your pointless contraptions. the new filter comes with all you need. just push in the plastic drain and viola, no need for special adapters, tubing, or anything else posted...THAT is what I'm dumping on

As for the baxter converter, well I'm not going to get into the benefits of using it...plenty of posts on that already. but I will absolutely "dump on" over complicating something extremely simple. but if it makes you feel so special to do all that nonsense then I won't try to stop you

Clearly you have mastered the push-in style drain plugs. I've never had it not start dripping on me which is why I like the threaded version better.

I just loosen the housing with 2 plastic bags over it. No mess no oil everywhere. Takes a whole minute to wipe the housing off.

Is there supposed to be rubber washer under the portion of the press-release mechanism for the drain bolt? I'm not talking about the rubber washer under the drain bolt itself, or the one on the upper part of the housing.

Every time I unscrew that drain bold, oil just starts dripping/leaking out, and by the time I get the plastic cap in I've got oil down my arm and on my skid already. I even purchased the motion tool and it still makes a big mess everytime. When you guys unscrew the drain bolt, nothing leaks out?

I did not remove the inner parts on my OEM Aluminum...and it does not leak.

Mine doesn't leak either as I installed it as Toyota packaged it.
