It's more annoying than being useful. I use the constant-speed side of the CC. The radar is also annoying, the beeping causes me to actually break my driving focus and to start looking for the cause of the beeping.

The fact the my SR has adaptive cruise and no delay wipers in mildly infuriating.

I love adaptive cruise, use it on long highway trips.

So you’re that ahole I see cutting in and out of traffic risking everyone around you to save 2 minutes lol

Tried it out for fun on one of the many road trips I’ve taken since getting the truck. It WILL brake if you get too close- which I appreciate. However, the street-racer acceleration(as much as we can in a 2.7) was little unnerving when I saw my tach hitting redline when changing lanes after it slowed me down.

I understand that it’s just trying to get me back to the set speed, but...

Yes unerving when that first happened to me haha. I’ve learned when behind a slower car with adaptive cruise on to push the button to momentarily turn it off when I change lanes to pass and then use the pedal to get back to the cruise setting and then Resume cruise. Problem solved. :)

It sure will. Some jack off that didn't know how to use an off ramp jammed on the brakes in the lane right in front of me the other day before he moved in to the long exit ramp. The truck did brake. As soon as he was out of the lane it wanted to charge full steam back to the set speed too.
You still need to pay attention to what's going on and not depend on it.

No doubt. What genius made that decision? Anyway, first thing I fixed... Wipers.

Ugh I hate other drivers sometimes... Yeah it is quick to get back to what ever speed you set it at. I sometimes need to turn it off so I dont look like some super aggressive driver lol.

Yeah I've had to turn it off too if the highway is too crowded. I was never a fan of the old constant speed cruise because of other people who get in front of you. I do like the adaptive cruise better.
I still don't know if I'd feel save using it when towing the camper. Knowing I need more following distance and how drivers have a bad habit of cutting in to it and hitting their brakes I'm not sure I trust it with towing.

I wasn't sure how it would work with my MT, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I only use it at freeway speeds on relatively open highway but it lets me stretch my legs out without having to slam on the brakes or turn off cruise if a semi decides to pull out in front of me.

It's better than standard cruise for sure, still not something I'd want to use in any significant amount of traffic.

Haven't seen an answer to this yet, maybe I'm blind. But if you press and hold the cruise on/off button while it is off it will turn on in non-DRCC mode. You can see a difference in the cruise control indicator on the instrument cluster.
