how well does your motorcycle fit in the back of your short bed

    just wanting to see if you guys could let me know how well your motorcycles fit in the bed of your short bed 2nd gen tacoma. pic's would be great!!. i have a 2002 r1 that is streached 6in and just wanting to see if it would fit thanks

    That's not going to fit. My stock R6 just fit with tailgate down.Maybe with one of those hitch extenders you could do it.

    I was going to drive 2 hours this weekend and pick up a KLR650 from craigslist.

    Would it seriously not fit?

    Yeah I figured I'd have to put it kind of diagonal (front tire in right corner, back tire aiming toward left rear corner).

    Dang this better work or thats alot of time/gas money on that trip for nothing! lol

    When I had my other truck I would put my bike straight in on the far right...then just swing the back end over..it was more secure then having the front tire angled in the corner.

    Bestop, Child Seats, petrified french fry, dog hair, empty Mtn Dew cans cracked windshield, scratches.
    google the KLR's length, my XR is 7.5 feet long. :eek:. Go diagonal and maybe stick a 8 foot 2x6 under front and real tires. When you tie the bike down via bars, front tire will hold the 2x6 down and the rear up......maybe.....I'm not liable if it doesn't.
