Jesus, calm down. I just got out of the navy after 8 years. I thought you’d appreciate the joke that the navy has some ass backwards logic.

100% the problem. I ran the exact same tire size on a stock suspension and then after I put a lift in the tires aggressively rubbed. The alignment shop fucked the alignment and had to take it to a better shop. Op needs to find a decent shop that can get as much caster as possible. Hell, a little above stock caster would work.

Interesting variety of comments and solutions, as well as definitions of moving mountains. I'll recap, since a lot of what I mentioned got asked later. I'm on Venomrex 17X9 -12, with Wildpeak 265/70/17. Lifted .65" up front via 5100s on the second notch. Rubbing was almost exclusively on the driver side, rear of the fender. VERY slight rubbing in the front of the fender, and also VERY slight rubbing in the rear of the passenger front fender. I was surprised at how much rub there was given how many people run this tire size (or 16" equivalent) with this same offset (like most SCS wheels). After more driving and observing it became clear to me that alignment and caster were not the problem/solution. I'm no alignment expert, as is probably obvious, but with a slight rub present in the front section of the fender it seemed that moving the wheel forward with caster would not solve the problem, but just relocate it to a spot with less wiggle room for trimming. The proposed solution of just finding new wheels with a less aggressive offset seemed to be moving heaven and earth to me. Finding new wheels, buying new wheels, dismounting and remounting tires, and then having to try to unload my recently purchased wheels at what I'm sure would be a sizeable loss seemed like a giant PITA. Trimming and molding seemed less so, but it was a process I wasn't familiar with. I used the below videos for reference. I didn't follow his process exactly, but it was a good reference point. Ultimately I did everything with a box cutter, file, and a heat gun, and I've eliminated 95% of the rub. As of right now I can only get it to rub when accelerating in reverse up hill, and cutting the wheel hard right. Even then it's very slight, and only on that soft malleable plastic fender liner. I was short on time, but anxious to find a solution, so I was pretty ham-fisted in round 1. I will go back in to clean it up and get that last bit out of the way. Though it stressed me out initially, the post someone made saying I'd chuckle when I saw how easy it was was correct. It was actually kind of fun. Again, thanks for all the advice and feedback.

Congrats man on getting it taken care of! Cutting is by far the easiest solution and I'm glad you heeded (most) of our advice. Now go enjoy the sound of no rubbing!

What width wheel are you running? I'm on a 17x9, 0 offset, with 265/70R17 General Grabber ATXs and factory suspension and don't come close to rubbing. Before those I had Falkens like yours, and they have a smaller carcass than my Generals. Like others have said, this can likely be solved with a proper alignment.

I was in the Marine Corps and I genuinely laughed at your comment. It was an obvious joke. Lol
