I'm going to guess somewhere between $9 and $42 billion. Just take 10 minutes and stop off at one and ask.

Anyway that's diy'able but you've got 3 panels, the bed needs to come off, a complex curve with at least 2 different lines, and panel gaps to deal with, along with misc paint damage unrelated that needs cleaned up and blended. It's a pita repair to do it right.

Id say 3000 to fix that. Not just the repair but also you have to feather and blend the paint out which would include the door and side of bed.

I really don’t care if it’s a perfect job. I’m looking to do the hackiest job possible. Just don’t wanna keep staring at it. If some sort of filler works then I’ll do that. Hell. If a sticker would look fine, I’d do that too.

I plan on off roading this thing, among other things, so I assume it’ll happen again, but I bought this one used a few months ago. I knowit sounds weird, but if any dents are gonna be left alone, I kinda want them to be caused by me .

Thanks for the input so far folks, I’ll reasses, but definitely prob won’t do this one alone based on what you all are saying.

Haha. I’m hoping it’s one of those cases where you just get used to it over time, but at this point I just feel like it’s a perfect canvas with a spot of dirt on it. Gotta wipe it off!

Humor me for a second fellas. How bad of an idea would this be? I’m thinking it’s the least painful way of doing this.

It’ll crack and fall off whenever the sheet metal flexes or gets stressed.

Done it for years, it's an off roader. Bondo rock rash, rattle can it, makes for a good time the next time you brush up against the rocks and bondo shatters and flys everywhere. Then do it all again.

    Hahaha so you weren’t kidding.

Seriously considering this . Let me stop at a body shop and see what the damage is first though.

Lots of bondo on this beater. 350 small block on Nitrous Oxide. E-ticket ride, bondo, then lots of primer. Do it all over again.

Look closely at the bottom of the door and rear fender. Fixed it. Winning.

More than the $100 or less you’d spend on materials to slap bondo and rattle can.

That’s a fix, not a repair, but you might find that it’s good enough for you and maybe irks you a little less than the current look. Plus, you’ll learn basic body repair. So, you can attack the easy dents later that don’t require so much technique as these do to repair.

Go for it. You can definitely do it if you want to go that route. Lot of guys have made threads like this and came out alive, with new skills.

Haha mkay I’ll try it on a lower visibility dent first. Very fun doing things myself. Thanks much for the pointers. I’ll be sure to annoy you again when I actually try it

    Never a bother, dude.

Just didn’t appreciate the one guy telling you how to turn your shit into a weak, stressed out blister that has no rigidity left and is going to cause you a lot of issues.

Lot of YouTube videos on body repair and many threads here too, so jump in. If you end up hammering stuff, watch a few videos on heat shrinking to restore rigidity to the damaged area. It isn’t outside the realm of DIY by any means, just more work and more tools.
