Ok I think I've got the answer. Went to Home Depot and chatted with one of the building supply guys. Showed him the picture and he suggested using aluminum repair tape, and filling in the rest with gap filler. Flex seal would be more of a permanent solution, whereas the gap filler can be cut out if need be.

The plan is to remove the locking cubby door when I need to use the compressor, to allow air in/heat out when its running, and keep it sealed up the rest of the time.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm having the same issue, any updates to how you handled this?

Holy crap, drywall tape, duct tape and glue on your truck?!

Fab some stuff. Make a metal box or lid if thats what you need, stainless steel or aluminum. If you cant do it find someone who can.

You can also come up with a design and send it out to multiple different companies that will cut the metal and even bend it for you. oshcut sendcutsend

And it cant be air tight. Its sucking in air and blowing it elsewhere.

I already have the Expedition Essentials ARB mount, just needed to seal the inside a bit better. Its been working and its all stuffed inside the fender, so nobody is the wiser.
