Just picked up a used awning, looking for ideas on how to attach it to either the 4Runner or taco, depending on what we are driving for the days adventure.

    Most people use L brackets.

Ya, it’s got a set of L brackets attached to the awning, but how are those attached. I am sure a lot has to do with what racks folks have. I’d love to see some pictures, I am hoping to create something that allows me to switch back and forth from the taco to the runner.

    Any one got some Picts?

    Anyone got any ideas.

I’m looking to set up something to swap the awning between my Taco and 4runner

Nothing special right now, I will be figuring out what I need to pick up.

One I see how others have them attached, I’ll figure out a plan.

Used the RCI bed rack awning mounts. Only 3 bolts on the back of the awning holding it to the truck. I dont think i have any close ups.

I run a prinsu and when I get an awning like you I want it to be easily removed when not in use. I’ll use 1/4” carriage bolts and some nylon lock nuts with L brackets. Basically slide the carriage bolts in the track and bolt the L bracket down. Can be easily removed but not so easy it can be stolen in seconds.
