Never winterize lawn equipment...probably should though. Both the push mower and the riding mower fired right up!

Now if I can just get that autopilot to work... :)

i love my craftsman. going on my 10th season, and starts on the 2nd pull (did not winterize it) i did have to replace the handle a couple of time, because they kinda bend from me pulling it so hard. I guess i better do an oil change on this thing. never done it before. going to sears tomorrow for some oil and plug.

Well I attempted an oil change tonight on our Cub Cadet mower. Got everything done (air filter/spark plug) except the damn oil filter off. That thing was TIGHT and I couldn't get it off for the life of me. I'll give it another go tomorrow to see if I can get it. Any tips?

You could go with the old stab it with a screwdriver and turn technique.

I think it's gonna come to that. My last oil filter from a relative's Civic wasn't so lucky:

Needed a jump. Then sent it off to have the parking brake adjusted (couldn't get the feeler gauge in there) and some other things done. Still waiting for the mower to come back. Tried changing the oil and the last time we had it worked on, the guy put the drain plug on too damn tight

we were given an old push mower that had been sitting over a year. Luckily they had drained the gas out so I poured some gas in the carb and it started first pull, with a bit of blue smoke lol. Maybe that's why it was free. Oh well adding oil every time you run it is still cheaper than buying a new one.

 Lol. I also have a craftsman push mower. I change the oil, the plug and air filter every spring before I start mowing. Cranks up on the 2nd pull.
