I am working on upgrading my speakers and wanted to re-lube the window parts and sound deaden doors. I noticed upon removing the stock speaker the window does not line up with the interior rubber rail. There are 2 brackets connected (bolted to metal door skin) to nothing, one below the speaker and one fairly above it . I am not understanding how it connects to the metal rail (that holds the rubber window guide) Are these supposed to be tack welded to the rail and just broke free? Thanks guys.

When I shut my drivers door something rattles in side of it. I may tear mine down to see if that's the problem.

I pulled the window and guts, turns out that bracket does have 2 very small welds on it connected to the brackets I was talking about. Going to rent a little spot welder and reconnect them. Had a cluster of baby spiders take off all over me which was cool.
