My name is Larry. I drove the 2nd generation Tacoma for a decade, trading every 2 years because I am on disability and was not allowed to save.
I was raised in North Dakota driving high output V8's so the 4 cylinders were detested. I really enjoy the 3.5 V6 however.
I special ordered my 2016 Barcelona red Taco and it was perfect. I stoopidly traded it for a Sonata but after 2 years of hating that car I am back in a 2023 Taco.
The posted 47.1 mpg is one good thing about the Hyundai, the restaurant is the other.
I preferred my 16 as it did not have the annoyg safety features of the newer vehicles.
I wasa told I only had to run my hand along the door handle and it would unlock. Rarely. The anti collision is also annoying as it slows me down for no reason.
The salesman minimized the sensitivity but does anyone know how to turn it off completely?
Though every vehicle has it's negative points and someone will have a problem with it, in my view the Tacoma is one of the best vehicles ever made.

I discovered that if the traction button is pressed and held for 3 seconds the SVC anti collision system is deactivated. But it also turns off other safety features, if you are not always on flat, dry asphalt I would think twice about deactivating.
So I pressed it, the dash lights showed it was off but it was not. It was found that when the cruise control is not activated, the anti collison system is able to be deactivated.
So I will no longer use cruise control in town.
On the highway, the system should not bother me so I will use the cruise on my trips to Idaho.
