My first Tacoma was a 4 banger 4x4 with 31x10.5 BFG mt’s it went where every you pointed it just not real quickly. Plenty of power unless you wanted to pull anything and then it was like you forgot to pull anchor. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Well, I bought it with 62,000 miles on it and it had a 5 speed if I remember correctly. I put the tires on there and had the camper installed throwed my lazy boy recliner and books and clothes in the bed and got the smallest U-haul trailer I could rent which I put a dresser and a daybed in and headed out to Texas for Anesthesia school. When I would try to pass an 18 wheeler I would get up to where the tractor and trailer connected and I would have to gear down to try to pass. After several attempts on one particular stretch of road to get in front of the tractor trailer, I just slowed down enough for the truck and trailer to get ahead of me so I didn’t get caught in the wash. I drove that truck for another 2-3 years and when I sold it it had well over a 100,000 miles on it. Never used any oil and never had any problems other than replacing a battery. I cannot remember the year model but I regretted selling it several times but the single cab was just two small for me and my two girls. A farmer bought it and used it checking his crops and livestock well over 200,000 miles. I also taught my daughters how to drive a manual in this old truck. Kinda reminds me of that song that Alan Jackson song Drive!!
