Isn't the internet a beautiful thing? Back in the day, we had to actually go somewhere to get information.....I just purchased an '05 Silverstreak PreRunner with (gasp!) 103k miles on it. I've been looking for four months for a Tacoma, and looked at a lot with fewer miles. This one was the newest, and was, by far, in the best condition in my price range. The owner took meticulous care of it, and documented everything. The oil has been changed every 5,000 miles per Toyota's recommendation. I looked at a lot of dealerships, but there are never any service records available. I almost compromised on this, and am glad as hell I didn't. Check this-I pulled the dipstick and the oil is amber-it's been 3000 miles since the oil was changed (done by a shop and I verified the date and mileage). Will send pics when I figure out how to do so:)
