    From Winnipeg, MB, Canada. New Taco owner (4th day with it), new to 4x4. Last "truck" was a Ridgeline... ok for what it was. But ultimately happy to make the switch. 2012 TRD Sport DCLB MGM.

    Chomping at the bit to do some mods and upgrades. I have access to fabrication equipment and I'm looking to design and fab up a bunch of my own stuff. Bumpers, sliders, rack, etc. Eventually... First lift and wheels/tires. Can someone link me to a recommended thread on this subject?

    Welcome! I' a former Ridgeline owner too. Great machine, but not in the same class as the Tacoma IMO.

    Best advice I can give is start checking out build threads, find the trucks that look like what your end goal might be, and try to upgrade with the future in mind. I've been going at it backwards from the start, and it's much more expensive to buy things 3 times..
    Take your time and research your options thoroughly, patience will be highly rewarded.

    and ignore anything the custom shops around town tell you. I haven't gotten a single peice of good advice from any custom shop guy, whether in winnipeg, or alberta, or in between. If they don't speak fluent tacoma, don't listen to them. usually a question posted up here will get some good replies too, so if you're not sure, ask..
