I have this howling/whining noise on my 05 Tacoma V6 that starts once the engine is warm and idling then goes away when I accelerate and comes back when I’m stopped at a light or something. It doesn’t sound like power steering, alternator, or AC. Anyone know what this might be

My guess too. I have a wewewe noise I haven’t figured out or put much effort to find. I did buy a long wooden dowel from the wally world crafts department. Very very carefully touched it to several things with the engine running. Sometimes you don’t need to stick it to your ear, you can sorta feel the vibration the noise is making.

    Pulley makes sense.
When accelerating more tension is put on them making the noise temporarily go away.
    Belt(s) tight?
