2017 (supposed to be a bad year as some believe… don’t believe them. It’s the best year :anonymous:) currently at 83000 trouble free miles and going strong. No leaks :fingerscrossed: of any kind at the moment .

In my second year of ownership. Bought used in October 2021. It came off a lease at a Dodge dealer, no less. (Must have sat in a driveway during the pandemic...)

I had to have Inferno. My 2018 OR had only 21.2k on the odo when I took ownership of it. Just passed 30k. No issues what-so-ever..

Actually 2017 was a decent year. 2016 not so much.

Say what you will, but my brother has had a rave4 hybrid for almost 3 trouble free years, and love's the performance, and fuel economy it gets.

2017 definitely seems like a prime year. Anecdotally, it seems a lot of trouble free, high mileage tacomas are 17s. Hope yours keeps it going.

Nothing says a reliability or high mileage thread like chiming in with low miles so I’ll contribute. Got my truck September 13, 2022 and I got 20,300 miles!

I know the Rav is near bulletproof. The CX5 is just way more refined. Daughter needed to get out of her GX460 for a more efficient commute. The CX5 was really just as nice and a few dollars cheaper.

As far as all the bells, and whistles a vehicle's owner needs to have, My brother isn't all that big on them. He's had rave4, and highlanders in the past. I think our prius sort of made his decision for a rave4 hybrid. I've ridden in his rave, I'm not fussy either, it's got everything I would expect a vehicle to have. I'll say one thing, its a lot more comfortable to ride in than our prius, plus its got more giddy-up than my tacoma to.

Best explanation yet on this subject!
Just had my coolant pipe on my 16 replaced. i discovered it about 2 months ago, who knows how long it had been seeping. large amount of pink corrosion at the connecting point to the motor.
how hard would it be to make the replacement out of metal tubing? they basically replace it with the same piece of crap.
big job, my dealer removes the tranny, exhaust and starter to get at it. they said they find it quicker than removing the entire top of the motor.

How much did that cost you or was it covered under any warranty or recalls.
