How's this for resale value?

I will be patiently waiting to see it as well, but I`m not going to be holding my breath.

 

It may be all over his hand as well, he`s gotta be pulling out stuff from somewhere.

 

People ask me every time I buy a new truck.I run them real hard for up to 5 years. New is cheaper than lightly used around here.

well that is normal, assume you are trading in your 2016 Tacoma, and yo paid sticker or closed to sticker, now your dog did not like your truck and he peed on it any time he see's the truck you had conversation with him he told you that you are spending more time with truck not him, you took your truck back to the dealership and they hit you with 20% depreciation how would you feel, they have to give you very close to what you had paid. now dealership is Stuck with your truck, they have all the reason to price it close or little more than the new one, it happened so many times

That's just sticker price. If someone pays it, the dealer will take it. If someone savvy and knowledgeable comes in and negotiates they will be able to get it for less than you paid for your brand new one.

 

So the moral of the story is, take your dog with you when buying a new truck. Let him pick out what he likes and heck, maybe even sit back and let him do the negotiations too.

 

I know that's just the asking price....but the gawl of them asking more than a new one can be bought for....When I see a dealer with that attitude I usually just walk....And no, that's not helping my resale value.

 

So are you saying the seats smell like dog pee? I'm always very careful when getting in or out of my truck, I've been storing farts in the seats for years!

 

That's exactly why I bought a new one. There aren't good deals on a used Tacoma.... or almost any 4X4 truck for that matter. Around here, there isn't even any real negotiation. I looked to travel up to 1000 miles away to buy a truck.... no deals worth it.

 

Heard the same thing in 2010 when I got my Gen 5 4Runner. Heard a lot of the same complaints I'm hearing about the Gen 3 Tacoma. When I traded my 4Runner in 2 months ago it had 98,600 miles on it, and they gave me $20,300.

My point? Some people won't like the new Tacoma, but a far, far greater number of people will love it, just as it was with the 4Runner. And the high resale goes on....

This is so true , I shopped and shopped for a used Toyota then gave up on that and moved to any 4 x 4 they all had 1,000,000 miles or they wanted $1 million bucks. just stupid , really stupid. I bought brand-new and will continue to buy brand-new going forward. People will buy my used junk now lol
