This is a 2010 Tacoma long bed, 147K miles. Frame has been replaced, and exhaust system as well. But what about these last photos of the rear axle assembly? worrisome or naw? Thanks in advance!

It’s very hard to tell with all that oversprayed paint on it

I’d run away, I suspect in a year most of the paint will fall off with the rust and you will see how bad it really is

Scammers spray everything like that to get extra money

In general I’d say if you question it or have the least hesitancy concerning rust just walk away.

That is a slob and glob seller job.

There is a lot more rust under that then you can see.

All of the texture underneath whatever that coating is is very suspicious

I smell hidden rust. Too much overspray and not enough cleaning of the existing rust.

look at the rear bumper / tow bar from the inside. Toyota did not replace the rear bumper structure when replacing the frame.

It’s the most prone rust area being right where the rear tire splashes water around.

This will give you a good indication how far down other components that you can’t see may look like.

I’d give that truck a good “Hell Naw”.

Asking price is 16K. Thanks for each of your comments. I've probably looked at a couple dozen 2nd gen tacomas, at least, and this is one of the best I've seen, even with that rear differential sprayed. it's wild out there.
