Nah, Ball Joints don't have the same issues. You can't change Uniball UCA's to ball joints…I asked. Will be purchasing the Uniball replacement kit for "just in case" insurance. Not too bad, they're $103.

Any reason why the rubber bushing in the stock leaf pack would suddenly disappear? I noticed a squeak from the rear today and while investigating and comparing sides, the passenger leaf was missing a rubber spacer/or bushing. Jumping on the bed on the passenger versus driver side isolated the noise and confirmed the squeak source. What's the deal? Is this something I should take in for warranty. I have 2015 with 8k miles. Seems suspicious.

    Just order some Dakars!

I'm waiting for quotes on some custom leafs from Sarah (Boss4x4). And I know of someone else waiting on another part. We can order together!

While they are good leaf packs, they definitely won't solve any squeaking issues.

What do you suggest I do to help with this constant squeak. Iven helped me identify a missing spring isolator on the passenger AAL. That I know can be fixed. The other squeaks are just driving me nutz!!

Deavers or Alcans? That’s what I’m ordering. Just waiting on Deaver to provide a quote to Boss4x4.

I've heard of this too. Not sure that, that would be a long term solution.

my dakars squeak really bad. like, real fʻing bad. lol. I think when we installed them, @bullaculla sprayed some dry moly or something like that... it fixed the squeak for a couple weeks, but itʻs right back again. I really wanna try the APʻs. thereʻs a guy with a standard set here, but I feel like Iʻll be stuck with my Dakarʻs cause the "real suspension" truck crowd is kinda slim. choke people just run blocks just to clear their tires.

Depends on what the problem is. It's most likely metal to metal rubbing somewhere. Is you're missing a friction pad on your AAL, that will do it.
I've had stock, all pro, and dakars. They all squeak to some extent. If you don't just lower your NVH standards, you may go crazy, lol.
Eye bushings, friction pads, even the u shaped brackets on the overload (if overload or other leafs shift left or right) can create squeaks. Even rubbing between the leafs will squeak. (Some people try Plastic pond liner to separate the leafs)
I'd say to disassemble the pack and see what exactly is causing the squeak and go from there.

Thanks @Vigo. I'm looking into options and realize that squeaking is part of it....but somehow I feel like with advancements we've made in engineering that this shouldn't be as much of an issue. The constant squeaking over every little bump or coming to a full stop is annoying and reminds me of an old jalopy Chevy Suburban my uncle used to drive :crapstorm:

Yeah I know casue I have balljoints on my LR UCA's. @hacklerjason made some derlin bushings recently. May try to get my hands on a set for my UCA's & LCA's. Just not sure if I want to get after market LCA's yet.
