Before you install your Dakars, prep them by adding leaf spring insulators to prevent the inevitable squeaking. I think Dorman and Energy Suspension makes some.

 

Nope. I'm removing the ones it comes with, chamfering the leaf tips, and coating both sides of interior leaves with dry moly lube.

Been through this before with the 1st gen.

 

1. I so miss my 1st gen. It was a peach.
2. Did you have the CB drop and axle shims to try to sort it out?

 

That blows...and wish me luck...I'm putting in shims with the pack because that's a PITA to do later, and see what happens. I may just forego the CBD unless an issue arises. Already bought a digital angle gauge to take baseline measurements, and because buy tools.

I'm pretty easy going and don't take much seriously. Besides, there is more than one way to skin a cat. I forgot that you had these issues on your first gen. As long as you solve the problem, that's all that matters.
