S2 based on what I've read. One of the best phone cameras made.

Sony's coming out with an AT&T LTE phone in the March time frame with a 12 megapixel camera. Xperia Ion.

HTC's LTE Titan II (Windows Phone) will have a 16mp camera.

But is it for AT&T customers only? I got T-mobile. I'm kinda looking for a phone that has been out for a little bit and people having experience with them. I dont need a super duper nice camera but something above average. The camera on my Memoir is 8 megapixel but it sucks!! Works like crap in low light.

I could fill about 4 pages on why Android is better than IOS. But here is what I tell everyone who asks me what to get.

If your a person who likes to fiddle with gadgets, customize the hell out of everything, and don't want to pay for apps, go android.

If you just want a phone that does what you need it to do and that is it, you don't like messing around with gadgets and don't care about customizing anything other than the wallpaper. Get an iphone.

That's about as plain and simple I can get with these options.

When I played with them, I liked the Galaxy S II more.. I think its more of just a personal preference at this point with these two phones.

When I bench tested them both of them were pretty close in numbers as well. The Galaxy S II already has a few custom roms out there you can run, not sure if the Amaze has anything yet or not Rom wise.

Okay thanks for the input. I'm leaning more towards the Samsung for now. It probably wont be for another few weeks so hopefully more people will chime in.

Do what one person said. Check out androidcentral.com. They have a review over anything android. And unless you have the SG2, root it. Its worth the risk. My htc incredible os so much better now.

    sold....
i have the htc rezound. only reason i got it was because the sales rep said htc made real good phones. had the motorola droid 2 before that and had it replaced 3 times under warranty because it kept having problems. the rezound is the best phone ive ever owned and the 4g is awesome too.

I was just in the same situation. I chose the HTC Amaze over the Samsung. I chose the HTC for the fact that I came from a Samsung galaxy and I liked it but I hated that I Gaston get my updates through samsungs computer based program called kies. I had numerous problems with it. As for the Amaze, I love it. I like the HTC sense layout better and the phone doesn't feel cheap like most samsungs I've used. I've had this phone for a month and haven't experienced any issues. Yes the S II is faster but not so much that you would notice bc both phones run the same dual core processor. Both phones are great but I'm really happy with the decision I've made.
