Ouch, those pictures hurt. A Mercedes 4 cars down from me was smashed into a few months back.... a couple teenage girls on the 2nd floor heard it and chased them off before they could get anything, but I'm always paranoid whenever I hear noises outside at 3am now.

That's why you use a line of barbed fish hooks.... Less blood, and they basically have the option of ripping all the skin on their hand off, or waiting until you and/or the cops show up. But as mentioned above, the thieves have more rights than you do.

It happens. Had it happen in a few cars and trucks I've owned. Hence the reason my last two vehicles have kept the stock head unit and have never been broken into. Every vehicle that was vandalized had an aftermarket head unit.

I love when people say drugs are a victim-less crime! It always makes me think about this stuff.

Anyways, I feel for you man! I've been had before, too. Does the lot, or any surrounding business' have any security cameras? Might be worth looking into. This is the reason I don't want a bright, shiny 6inch LCD screen sticking out of my dash! I want a good sounding stereo as much as the next guy but to me it's just not worth the hassle/worries especially since most brands don't offer the double dins with a detachable face. I always hated carrying that thing around anyways. I'll be staying with the stocker!

Actually, I think my next HU will be the JVC KW-NX7000, its a double din with a detachable face. Link here

As for the parking lot, no cameras. BART police usually patrol around, but I guess apparently they didn't that day :(

you know what it just doesnt matter, if someone wants to steal your shit they are gonna get it.

The only thing you can do to deter from it is tint your windows black as night so they cant see what you have, but then you are gonna get fix it tickets left and right

what a wicked world we live in

This really pisses me off! On the same subject I have a 93 Toyota Pick up with a Topper and some a$$hole ripped the screens to the topper to try to get his hands on something last night. Lucky for me, I locked the topper so he couldn't get in. And about 3 weeks ago, someone kicked in my rear driver's side bedside on 2006 Tacoma (I'm sure they were testing my alarm to try and rip off my Double DIN). All of this has happed within a month span (I've lived in the same complex for 3 yrs and just now I'm having problem), I'm so fcuking irrate I want to kick someone's A$$. I'm packing heat now, so I invite anyone wanting to take something from me to come try doing it! I would love to see someone in the act so I can chop their damn hands off and shoot their knee caps! I'm sure they will think twice about stealing! :D

I feel for you man, it sucks.
