No, not clip - lip. There's a circular raised metal edge on the back/inside of the spindle that encircles the seal. I'm not near the truck right now, otherwise I'd take pics.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
Anyone know why they have this pair listed as 2010 w/ a build date after 9/09? It's the only hub they sell. Didn't think anything changed there from 05+. Going to ask them tomorrow unless someone knows.

found out that for some reason, they only list parts for things they have tested it on...kinda weird. either way, i ordered the hub/bearing set. i'll have to go to oreilly's and order the seals/o-ring. i've already got another bearing, so when this comes out, i'll have a spare set i can prep.

Nay, that is the inner seal that goes on the steering knuckle. You need 710477.

But, why are there two OEM part #s? Mine is 43502-04120 and runs $149 at Toyota Parts Zone. It is listed for all Tacos made Sep 2004 - Jul 2009.

Part # 43502-60200 (replaced by 43502-60201) covers Jul 2009 and above; and it goes for $79.

That is a big price difference. I have to believe the hubs are different and not compatible. I am curious to know what the difference is.

we'll see. the same bearing is for both year sets, so it should press in the same and bolt to the hub the same. wheels are the same lug pattern, so that part is right...dunno what else it could be.
